I was talking to a friend tonight about her upcoming 30th birthday party. As she was going through where and when to kick off the festivities, I offered up my suggestions for what would be a memorable fête and thought about what I'd like to do for mine in a few years. I knew instantly where I'd love to have my milestone dinner, a restaurant I've been dreaming to dine at, Kong in the 1st Arrondissement in Paris. The restaurant has a glass dome ceiling with views of Paris, namely the Seine and apparently the LVMH headquarters and an open, Philippe Starck-designed, modern dining room. With Paris-mixed-Tokyo décor, clear Louis XV armchairs and the lights of the city all around, it is practically my version of heaven. It keeps getting better, no matter what the age.
